Summer Associate Program

We have an active summer associate program for second year law students. In this program, summer associates will spend six weeks working with the firm. Summer associates are encouraged to work with all of the attorneys in the firm; however, the program is structured around the desires and expressed interests of each individual student and is designed to provide the greatest insight possible into those areas of practice in which the student has expressed an interest.

Each summer associate will have an assigned associate and shareholder supervisor. Responsibilities of each of the supervisory attorneys include insuring that each summer associate receives broad exposure to the types of legal representation encountered in those areas in which he or she has expressed an interest. Summer associates are expected to take on significant responsibilities and to contribute, under the supervision of attorneys, to meeting our clients' needs. A high percentage of our permanent hiring is accomplished through this program.

All summer associates will be evaluated at the end of their clerkship on three levels: work product, professional qualities and area of interest of the summer associate. All permanent offers will be extended as soon after the clerkship as possible
